Firstly, you need eclipse I suugest the latest eclispe 3.5 (Galileo)
- Google gears for linux from http://nielspeen.com/blog/2009/02/google-gears-64-bit/
- Choose the latest build (as of february 2, 2010)
- This allows you to build offline web application, using its built-in database, and resource manager
- SQLite Manager firefox plugin - you need at least firefox 3.5
- Used to look up/browse/edit your database when you use Google gears.
- GWT plugin for eclipse
- you could use this link http://code.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-from-zip.html when installing to an offline machine.
- Google App Engine SDK for Java - when you want to develop a full-blown web application using a big deal of free quota on the cloud.
- GWT dev plugin (OOPHM) plugin for firefox - this plugin allows you to conveniently debug your GWT when application in eclipse when run in hosted mode.
